Subject: Important Info for MikroTik Operators
Dear MikroTik Operator,
MikroTik has begun locking certain wireless devices by producing two model
numbers for each part. Any part with the designation -US is locked to US FCC
frequencies for which that product is certified. There are minor
differences in the beginning and ending frequencies depending on the model
of the device, but generally the wireless adapter is locked to these
This lock can not be removed. We will begin stocking the -US devices as
they are produced.
We will also stock the International versions of these products which do not
have this lock, however, just like other international products we sell, you
will be required to sign a sworn "Certification of Export" and furnish the
name of the country to which you are exporting the international version to,
or we can not sell you international products.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this change and assure you we
are working to make this as painless as possible. In addition, this change
creates additional questions for our customers. We have asked these
questions of MikroTik as they arise and are awaiting a response from
MikroTik and will inform you when they tell us.
We appreciate your business and the partnership we have with you.
